Shipping Costs

Adult Signature Required

All carriers specify that wine orders require a person at least 21 years of age sign for your delivery. The use of a business address can help expedite delivery by a day and often makes the signature requirement easier.

Shipping Rates

Shipping costs for wine within the continental U.S. are applied using the following rates and will appear in the shopping cart before you complete your transaction. The carrier and service speed may vary by state and time of year. The shipments will be delivered by UPS Ground or Golden State Overnight.

For all orders and club shipments of wine to the following states, shipping rates are applied per bottle according to the chart below. Quantities listed represent box sizes used for shipping. For quantities not listed, go to next higher quantity. Quantities over 12 will ship in two or more boxes.

For all orders and club shipments of wine to NY, NJ, MD, ME, DC, PA, MA, IN, AZ, KS, MT, DE, RI, FL, MI, IL, AL, AR, CA, CO, CT, IA, ID, KY, LA, MN, MO, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, OR, SC, TN, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, and WY an additional surcharge of 8.5% will be added to the shipment total.

For residential deliveries, a $2.50 surcharge will be applied. Because wine shipping regulations require an adult signature, having your wine shipments delivered to a business address is often the best choice. Members who have made the switch report a much better experience, and the $2.50 surcharge will be waived for shipments to business addresses. Call us anytime to make the switch.

Alaska and Hawaii

Shipments to the states of Alaska and Hawaii will be charged an additional surcharge of 20%.

For Gift Baskets, Accessories and Samplers, each of which ships separately (some exemptions apply), pricing is applied per item according to the chart below, based on weight and size. Some additional fee surcharges may be added for some items shipped from different locations.

Returns Policy
We pride ourselves on our fair return policy. Here are some important details.

Because many of the wines we offer are hard to find, rare, and in limited supply, all orders are subject to availability and quantity limitation. We reserve the right to replace orders with similar wines based on varietals, vintage and of equal or greater value. If no suitable substitute wine is available, we will issue a refund instead.

We cannot accept returns of opened wine or of items with missing or damaged components.

We cannot be responsible for items returned due to relocation or travel that we do not know about ahead of time. Wines returned as non-deliverable will result in the issuance of a credit voucher for the purchase price, less shipping & handling.

Your purchase is eligible for a replacement up to 45 days from the date your order is shipped. If in the rare event that a shipment is returned to us as undeliverable within 45 days of shipping, we will issue a credit to the original form of payment less a 15% restocking fee, less shipping and handling, provided that the wines are returned in good condition. Please allow up to 14 business days from receipt of the shipment to receive your credit.

Wines being replaced for your satisfaction are added to your next club shipment to avoid additional shipping fees.

What are the legal terms of the sale?
All orders are fulfilled by licensed entities. All wines are sold in California and title passes to the buyer in California. We make no representations to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import alcoholic beverages into any state outside of California. The buyer is solely responsible for the shipment of wines. By placing this order with us, you authorize Vinesse, Inc. to act on your behalf in processing this order, including engaging a common carrier to deliver it. Wines may be sold and delivered only to persons who are at least 21 years of age, and in placing your order you represent to us that you are at least 21 years old. When your wines are delivered, the person receiving delivery will be required to show identification proving that he or she is at least 21 years of age. All offers are void where prohibited by law and void to everyone under 21 years old. Due to state alcohol regulations, items, in some instances, may not be given away for "free". Although an offer may be positioned that you are receiving a free gift and incentive, you are in fact receiving the wine and gift at an overall discounted price.
